Healing Waters Fly Fishing Supports Healing for Veterans

Successful entrepreneur Christopher Jeremiah of Gillette, WY, is a former CrossFit gym owner and a student in the nursing program at Northwest College in Powell, WY. A former US Army Captain, Christopher Jeremiah continues to support fellow veterans and active duty service members through his involvement with the non-profit organization Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc.

Established in 2005, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) supports the physical and emotional recovery of wounded and disabled military service personnel. The organization’s more than 200 programs nationwide offer long-term, ongoing fly fishing classes taught by experienced volunteer fly fishers and guides. PHWFF partners with Trout Unlimited, Fly Fishers International, Trout Unlimited, and other fly fishing clubs to offer instruction at Department of Veterans Affairs facilities nationwide, as well as at Warrior Transition Units. In addition to technical fly fishing instruction, the program provides ongoing support and camaraderie for participating members. In 2015, the program served more than 7500 military personnel and veterans.
